4 Sunburn Remedies to Instantly Stop Pain and Prevent Peeling


As the season of summer holidays is approaching we should prepare our skin for the first contacts with the hot summer sunbeams.

1.                Aloe Vera Gel Treatment

Aloe Vera is one of the plants that solves many skin problems. And you can actually make this gel at home. All you need is one Aloe Vera plant, and if you do not have one in your home, now is the time to buy it.  All you have to do is cut several leaves down the middle and squeeze out the gel. It is better if you do this beforehand, because you never know when you will need to use it. Squeeze the gel in an old gel bottle and keep it in the refrigerator. That will also provide great cooling effect for your burnt skin, in case you need to use it.

This gel is also great for alleviating itching and curing insect bites and stings.

2.                Earl Grey Tea Treatment

What you should do is boil 5-6 earl grey tea bags with a small amount of water. Then pour the tea and the bags in a bowl and leave it to cool down at a room temperature.

Then soak a small clean towel or rag into the liquid and wring the excessive tea out and then apply it directly on your burns and leave it or half an hour. For best results it is recommended that you do this several hours after you got sunburned.

3.                Potato Paste Remedy

With the helpful enzymes that potatoes contain they are one of the most powerful natural remedies among vegetables. To treat sunburn, you can simply apply potato slices on directly on the burn, but you can also make a paste out of 2 fresh potatoes. You should process them on puree in a food processor and add just a little water to make them moist. Then apply them on your skin with a cotton balls or directly with your hands.

4.                Vinegar Treatment

Apple cider vinegar is one of the most effective remedies that cures sunburn. But prior to applying it, you should prepare your body for the treatment. What you should do is taking a shower with lukewarm water and tap dry your body. Then pour a cup of the vinegar in a spray bottle and spray it over your burn. Another option is to soak cotton balls in it and thus apply it to your body. No matter how you apply the vinegar, the most important thing is to leave it dry and not to wash it off, until you fell its benefits.
