A lot of people are not familiar with the benefits of this plant. Some of them consume it not knowing its effects, when it has an abundance of positive effects over the human body.
Starting from using it for lowering your blood pressure, curing inflammation, to regenerating your skin, it has an amazing healing power.
I am talking about kale. Yes, kale is the plant you need to consume more often from now on. You can take it directly from the garden and eat it raw, as a salad or you can steam it first. The positive effects of its consumption are the following:
It lowers the cholesterol in your body, in a way that it binds with the bile acids in the digestive tract and thus the bile acids are excreted more easily. That automatically lowers the cholesterol level, and this is especially true when kale is eaten steamed.
The Isothiocyanates (ITCs) made from glucosinolates in kale have primary role in the detoxification of our organism and they also have risk-lowering benefits for cancer.
It also contains around 40 different flavonoids. On the top of the list of flavonoids are kaempferol and quercetin, which are proven to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
Moreover, its effects are even greater when it is applied topically. As I said kale has a lot of antioxidants. It contains phytonutrients and vitamins A, B, C and K as well. All those things combined together has a positive effect on your skin. It detoxifies the skin, promotes production of collagen and renews skin cells. It also tightens and cleans pores and reduces dark circles. So, it will make your skin younger and brighter. It also helps reducing acne by cleaning the pores completely.
So, How You Should Apply It?
To be honest, I have tried applying it in two ways. At first I was just washing the kale with warm water and then stick it all over my face, and leave it work for about an hour. It did have effects, but not as big and fast effects as I expected. Then I started making a mask. And the results are incredible. I just put several leaves in a blender with little amount of water (around 1 tablespoon) and blend everything together. Then I apply this thick mixture over my face and leave it work for an hour. I do this once or twice a week, for two months now, and I am amazed by the results. The dark circles under my eyes are almost invisible and my face looks much fresher and younger than before.
Try it and feel its benefits.
