One of the most popular fast food in America are hot dogs, and they were actually brought in the country by the German immigrants. During the summer period, about 7 billion of hot dogs are eaten only in America. Maybe they are famous junk food, but they can be very harmful for our health.
They are actually made from chicken, beef and pork meat, but during the production process, there are added remains like legs, claws, skin and fat. Also, in order to improve the flavor, there are added some additives, as corn syrup, monosodium glutamate, salt and many others and they differ in their origin, or from country to country. One of the worst part about the flavors is that monosodium glutamate and carmine flavors are actually derived from the shells of tiny bugs which are boiled in sodium carbonate and ammonia!
As the additives which are used in hot dogs are not always written on the labels, we can never be sure about them.
There was one research conducted at the University of Hawaii, which showed that processed meat increases the risk of pancreatic cancer by up to 67%, as it almost contains additives, like nitrites and nitrates, which are hazardous substances, proven to increase the risk of several types of cancer, like stomach, pancreatic, bladder and bowel cancer.According to the claims of the American Institute For Cancer Research, the risk for colorectal cancer can be increased even for 21%, by eating only one single hot dog!
