The dairy products can be more dangerous for our health than we can truly believe. Unlike the organic and unprocessed, vegan dairy products, a Harvard researcher asserts that what standard dairy products represent is a serious threat to our health.
The aforementioned researcher, David Ludwig, has published his work in the Journal of the American Medical Association Pediatrics, which showed that artificially sweetened beverage can cause harm to our organism.
This sugar consumption can also lead to obesity, diabetes, inflammatory-related pain, and some other issues. The United States Department of Agriculture, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and some other organizations have gathered and are strongly supportive of the idea that sugary drinks must be avoided.
The only approved product from this sort is reduced-fat milk, but the consumption is no more than 3 cups per day. Ludwig also questions this decision of the organization. He states:
“This recommendation to drink three cups a day of milk – it’s perhaps the most prevailing advice given to the American public about diet in the last half century. As a result, Americans are consuming billions of gallons of milk a year, presumably under the assumption that their bones would crumble without them.”
According to Ludwig, if the reduced – fat milk is approved for consumption, some other artificially sweetened drinks will be approved too. This is the reason why it is approved to say “No” to all beverages of this sort, as well as avoid added sugars in general.
“The worst possible situation is reduced-fat chocolate milk: you take out the fat, it’s less tasty. So to get kids to drink 3 cups a day, you get this sugar-sweetened beverage,” Ludwig claims. ”…we can get plenty of calcium from a whole range of foods. On a gram for gram basis, cooked kale has more calcium than milk. Sardines, nuts seeds beans, green leafy vegetables are all sources of calcium.”
David Ludwig took his time, in order to criticize the USDA’s recommendations, but it was not the end to it.
Particular fats, such as trans-fats and refined polyunsaturated fats in vegetable oils like corn, soy, sunflower, and canola, should be avoided and some new evidences were bought into spotlight, on consuming saturated fat, often found in milk, coconut oil, and grass-fed land animals.
Although the saturated fat has been treated as harmful aggressively, one study from 2010 released in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, has found that “there is no significant evidence for concluding that dietary saturated fat is associated with an increased risk of [coronary heart disease or cardiovascular disease].”
Also, some other full – fat airy products have been recommended for drinking. They have been proven of boosting the human health, regulating diabetes, absorbing more vitamins to the body, reducing cancer symptoms, and promoting weight loss. The pure dairy products are much healthier than some conventional dairy products.
So, the next time you should be very careful and read the dairy products labels and also pay attention to the number of harmful ingredients they bring with them. After that, milk will never again look the same.
