The thyroid gland is responsible for the production of thyroxin which is a hormone that regulates the heart rate, metabolism and development of children. It is a butterfly-shaped organ that is located at the base of the neck, bending at the height of the base of the throat.

1. Hyperthyroidism – condition in which the gland produces too much thyroid hormone. The symptoms for hyperthyroidism are: fatigue, menstrual pain, weight loss, feeling hot, sweating, sleeping problems, racing thoughts, difficulty focusing, forgetfulness, change in bowel habits, nervousness, anxiety and irritability, increased heart rate and palpitations.
2. Hypothyroidism – condition in which the thyroid gland is inactive and produces insufficient amount of thyroid hormone. The symptoms for this condition include: swelling in the front of the neck, fatigue, decreased menstrual flow, depression, muscle cramps, weight gain, constipation, brittle nails, dry skin and hair, forgetfulness.
There is a recipe that can help you avoid these conditions and keep your thyroid gland healthy. This remedy also treats any potential issues which may be caused by lack of iodine.
To prepare it you will need the following ingredients:
• 1 large jar or a few smaller ones
• 40 pieces of walnuts
• 1 kg organic honey
First wash the walnuts well, dry them and then prick them with sharp knife or needle. Put them in the jar and then pour the honey over them. Keep the jar open in well-lit area for about 40 days. Finally, strain the liquid and pour the mixture into a bottle.
Take 2 tablespoons of the remedy on a daily basis, once in the morning and once in the evening.
