The urine can have many different colors. It may go from deep amber or honey color to light straw. Here are the colors in which urine can appear:

– No color (transparent)

This is a sign that there is a large amount of water in your body. You are drinking a lot of water and you must lower the amount of water you drink on daily basis.

– Pale straw color

This one is the normal color of the urine. It is a sign that you are healthy and well hydrated. That’s why you should keep this balance.

– Transparent yellow

This one is a perfect condition and color of the urine. It also means that your health balance is perfect, so you should keep it that way.

– Dark yellow

It is a normal condition, except your body is needed hydration. It is recommended to drink some fluids or water.

– Amber or honey

This kind of color of your urine is a sign that your body is tired and it urgently needs water or some liquids. You should immediately drink water, as your body will dehydrate.

– Syrup or brown ale

According to a lot of researches, this color of the urine is a sign that you have some liver problems. It may be a liver disease or you may be dehydrated.

– Pink to reddish

This color of the urine can appear if you have eaten beets, blueberries or rhubarb recently, but if you haven’t, you may have blood in your urine. It could be nothing, or it could be a sign of some kidney disease, tumors, urinary tract infections, prostate problems or something else. It may even lead to mercury poisoning.

– Orange

This color of the urine can mean that you may not be drinking water enough. It can also mean that you may have liver or bile duct condition. It can also be a food dye.

– Blue or green

This one is different, as there is a rare genetic disease which can turn your urine in these two colors. The urinary tract may also be infected by certain bacteria. But, it is probably a food dye in something you ate, or any medication. It is not scary, because you won’t die from it, but if it persists, you should visit your doctor soon.

– Foaming or fizzy

This one is probably harmless hydraulic effect, if occasional, but could indicate excess protein in your diet, as well as some kidney problem. If the foaming happens all the time, you should visit your doctor.
