Chemical Found in Colgate Toothpaste Linked to Cancer

A recent study has discovered that one of the most globally used toothpaste Colgate contains a dangerous substance, Triclosa, which can cause cancer development. Based on a research published in a journal called “Chemical Research in Toxicology” this chemical helps cancer cell to grow. Triclosan can also interfere with hormone function by passing through the skin.

A study from 2008 shows how scientist detected triclosan in the urine of nearly 75% of those tested.

This chemical is also found in laundry detergents, deodorants, hand sanitizers and antiseptics.
Despite all of the proofs and researches, Colgate still claims that their products are safe to use.

Canada is the only country that has banned Triclosan yet.
The main point is that is up to us to decide if we are going to use these products or not, and our responsibility to take care of our own well-being.
