Because of the beneficial properties that Epsom salts have, they have been used for centuries by a lot of cultures around the world. They have been used for body detox treatments, gardening and in household cleaning as well.
Epsom salts are inexpensive and they can be found easily in any local store. Their name comes from the bitter and salty taste of this spring at Epsom, in Surrey, England.
Epsom salt is a natural salt which is very different from others, and it has pure mineral compounds of magnesium and sulfate. Both of this compounds offer great health benefits, and can detox your body as well. Your skin will naturally absorb the salt and remove the toxins.
By adding Epsom salt into your bath water, the salts will stimulate reverse osmosis. This is a process which is known for helping the elimination of dangerous toxins, as well as salt from our body. It leaves some space for the magnesium and sulfate to enter in the skin.
Magnesium is one especially important mineral compound, as it helps more than 325 enzymes, soothes inflammation, improves the function of muscles and nerves, help blood flow and boost oxygenation through the whole body. It is the sulfate that is imperative for the skin health, joints and nervous tissues as well.
The mixture of magnesium and sulfate can remove toxins and it also aids in building key protein molecules in our brain tissue and joints.
The use of Epsom salt baths is especially useful in the case of muscle pain, toenail fungus, bruises, gout, sprains, treats pain and chronic diseases and it also soothes inflammation, regulates the sulfur and mineral balance in our body and detoxifies the body.
NOTE: Before every usage, pregnant women, those that have open wounds or burns, those with cardiovascular diseases and dehydrated individuals, should always first consult their doctor or primary care physician.
